Wie es der Bandnamen MEURTRIÈRES bereits vermuten lässt, stammt diese Truppe aus Frankreich. Unsere Grenz-Genossen sind nicht gerade bekannt dafür, dass sie grossartige Metal-Bands am Fliessband in die Umlaufbahn schiessen, haben allerdings immer wieder mit Truppen wie Sortilège, Warning, oder Trust (dem wohl bekanntesten Export-Schlager) auf sich aufmerksam machen können.
Nach ihrem gleichnamigen Debütalbum (2020) folgt nun im Form von «Ronde De Nuit» der Nachfolger, der dank der formidablen Gitarren-Arbeit viele Traditionalisten anlocken wird. Der "Exoten-Bonus" durch die französischen Texte findet auch auf «Ronde De Nuit» seine Niederkunft und wird die einen abschrecken, respektive die anderen noch mehr erfreuen. In meinen Ohren passen diese "fremdländischen" Texte bestens zu den schnellen und metallischen Tracks. Es ist dieses Jugendliche und Unbekümmerte, das den Liedern einen gewissen Charme verleiht, der sich durch alle sieben Tracks hindurch zieht. Sicherlich kann man damit nicht gegen die Hits der grossen Helden anstinken, aber für einen Kaufanreiz reicht es durchaus. Ja, vielleicht hätten die Jungs mehrmals das Tempo, wie bei «Chevelaresses Du Chaos», drosseln und weniger ständig aufs Gaspedal drücken sollen, aber genau mit diesen Sound feierten auch Sortilège und Warning ihre grossen Momente. Wer auf Speed Metal steht, der seine Wurzeln im traditionellen Metal verortet, sollte sich «Ronde De Nuit» nicht entgehen lassen.
